Brilliant pinks and whites adorn the landscape during Dogwood Days, a springtime festival celebrating the gorgeous blooms of thousands of dogwood trees in the Idabel area.
Just 20 minutes south of Broken Bow, and approximately 35 minutes south of most of most vacation cabins, downtown Idabel comes to life during the first weekend of each April. Every year on the first Saturday in April, visitors gather to witness the dogwoods at their most beautiful and to enjoy a barbecue cook-off, food and craft vendors, children’s activities galore, Easter egg hunts, car show, crawfish boil, Little Miss Springtime Pageant, retail sidewalk sales, a spirited volleyball tournament, a 5K fun run/walk, a dance contest and much more.
This year, the event happens at the very start of the month on April 1, 2017.
And don’t worry about going hungry because the food vendors will be ready to fill you up with delicious food!
Now in its 24th year, the event just keeps getting bigger and better, so be sure to join us for this springtime community event!
